Fashion and Sex: My Thoughts
The previous poll running on this site, kind of surprised me. Within a fetish community, I was kind of surprised to see the number of people who feel that clothing equates sexuality...
Most people believe, it at least depends on the clothing. It would be kind of interesting to know where the boundary is drawn. Does a short skirt equal "easy"? Does a leather skirt equal kinky? Do "Fuck me" pumps equal a good fuck? Now I suppose, in some of the more fetishy clothes, conclusions can be drawn, but are those even accurate? Does a woman in a latex dress, really mean she's into kinky stuff? As our society changes and progresses, we start to see more of the "taboo" stuff go main stream. In this day and age, it wouldn't be uncommon to see a realtivly normal woman, wearing a short leather skirt and thigh high boots, just because. Even latex has a bit of a main stream appeal.
I think when we've got people who are known kinksters, representing major cosmetics companies, as in the case of Dita Von Tease working for MAC Cosmetics, it's inevitable, that a little bit of her becomes more main stream. So at time progresses, where will the more kinky clothing come from?
I posted this poll, because I was aghast from some of the comments I was reading on previous articles I posted. Women being called tramps, an "ho"s because they were wearing thigh high boots, or leather gloves. I'm just astounded that we can be that judgmental just because what someone is wearing. I suppose that's no different than seeing someone with a marijuana leaf t-shirt and assuming what they do.
Is it just fantasy to assume the woman in the short skirt, and knee boots, is kinky, or should we just assume that's she's just a slave to fashion? What do you think?a

1 comment postedI made the connection between gloves and sex a long time ago when I was very young. Putting on women's tight kid leather gloves aroused me and helped me to achieve sexual satisfaction and this has not diminished through my whole life. The same goes for satin. I realize that it does not affect all people the same way and some might find it weird and kinky. All I can say is that judging by the number of sites that are devoted to leather gloves and boots and satin, I must not be the only person who feels this way.
